Draft of Unit

When it comes to putting together my unit. I have to consider that we are currently teaching in person, so the use of technology and tools is moderately limited. One way I do incorporate technology is by integrating Lexia into our language rotations. Use of this program is supported by the study used in my article review about blended learning. Since we are currently in the classroom I am also incorporating videos about the letter into the activities each day. I have found that young students are often fully engaged in these short musical videos and will sing snippets of them to help them recall information.

I am only submitting my unit as a one week plan. This is because I will adapt the activities int he following weeks to the new letter of the week. So the actual activities would remain similar if not exactly the same, only the letter would change. This is to maintain consistency and routine for the kindergarteners which allows them to work with some independence and gain self efficacy. I am planning to add an online version of the material that can be used if our class was to switch to online learning. I believe in light of the current situation this makes sense to include. Below is my draft of the unit.
